So You Think You are in Love and Want to get Married!!
Hello Everyone,
So you think you are in love and have found your significant other. But how do you really know for sure. This is a question that has been asked time and time again. To truly know the answer you must first understand what love is. Love is an action and needs to be demonstrated on a daily basis. Just simply saying the words “I love you” is just words if there is no action behind it. In order to receive love, you must first know how to love yourself. A person can not fulfill you if you are not fulfilled and happy with yourself.
To love someone is to love “unconditionally”. You accept the person for who they are and what they stand for. The same is to be said for the significant other. Love is not one-sided. The rules apply for both partners. True love does not keep score nor does it judge. Love is forgiving, kind and supportive. When one feels down in the dumps the other is right there to pick you up.
Being “in love” is a lifetime commitment of showing your significant other on a daily basis. Both partners need to nurture and feed the feelings you had when you first met. One of the key ingredients to a happy and successful relationship with your partner is to remember why you fell “in love” in the first place.
The following verse taken from the Bible is commonly used in wedding ceremonies:
Corinthians 13:1-8a and 13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Now that you have an understanding of what “Love” is, you can now accept your significant others’ proposal and start planning your wedding. How exciting!!
Keep in mind that you will want to give yourself plenty of time for planning. A good time frame would be at least 1-2 years. You will want to book the big ticket items first as they are quickly booked. Examples of big ticket items are as follows:
- Wedding Venue (ie.. church,reception)
- Photographer,Videographer
- Entertainment
- Transportation
- Caterer
- Baker (who you want to make your wedding cake)
Next you will want to get an idea of what you plan to choose for your wedding theme and or wedding colors. You will want to coordinate this into your invitations, wedding flowers and decorations. You will want to meet with a:
- Decorator
- Florist
- Printer
In the meantime have some fun finding and buying your wedding supplies and bridal accessories. The biggest fun you want to have is finding the perfect wedding dress. Also have some fun with your friends that you have chosen to be your bridesmaids. The bridesmaids dresses should reflect the wedding colors you have chosen for your wedding.
As far as your wedding supplies and bridal accessories are concerned, shopping can easily be done online where you won’t have to waste time, gas and energy.

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to 2011! Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season. In this blog post I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who reads and comments on this blog and try to answer some of the many comments that I receive that seem to be asking the same thing.
I do read each and every comment that is submitted to this blog and it is up to me whether the comment is accepted or denied. I appreciate all comments, however, I do not approve comments that are sexually explicit, drug related or anything that is not a positive comment. Since my blog posts pertain to my wedding website I prefer to receive comments and or links from people who are in the wedding business.
One comment that I receive time and time again is do I write my own material. Yes!! All the content that is provided on this blog is written solely by me. I do not copy material from other blogs. As I have said, this blog is for the sole purpose of promoting my wedding website business. I use this forum to inform, educate, give tips and ideas and showcase what Brandi’s Bridal Boutique has to offer.
Another question that is often asked is what theme do I use and did I design it myself. The theme that I use for this blog is called Twilight and it is provided by the hosting service that I use. I am glad that you all like it and thank you to all that commented.
To all of you who have asked about the rss feed, facebook and or twitter. I do have a facebook fan page called Brandi’s Bridal Boutique Fan Page. Please feel free to stop by and be one of our fans. Hello Everyone,
I am glad to report that we had another “Happy Bride” who was married Saturday August 28, 2010 . Congratulations Leslie!! She choose three of our fabulous wedding items to coordinate with her wedding theme. We are so pleased she was happy with her bridal accessories.
One of her choices was the very elegant with a touch of bling Satin Crystal Toasting Glasses. She had them engraved with their names and wedding date in script font which turned out beautiful. (engraving not pictured)
She also chose the regal look of the Empire Cake Knife and Server set which she also had engraved with their names and wedding date. This silver- plated set adds a royal feel to the cake table.(engraving not pictured)
